The next trip -Everest Base Camp and Mera Peak

We are well on with planning the next trip to Nepal for October 2010. This will be another big group trip that will have as its core a walk into Everest Base Camp from Jiri (this is the original classic route). This core trip will be suitable for walkers of average fitness.

There will be major extensions on this trip for runners, adventure racing types and those confident tramping with crampons. Options include:
  • A Marathon run from Kala Pattha (5,550m) to Namche Bazar
  • Climb Mera Peak (6,450m) - one of the easiest trekking peaks and suitable for people capable of climbing Ruapehu in Winter.
  • Explore the seldom traveled route up the Inkha Khola. A chance for fit trampers to stretch their legs on a camping style side trip.
  • Those people looking for an extreme fitness challenge can continue over the Amphulapcha Pass. This trip requires several abseils, but the photos of this true wilderness region look stunning. This extra side trip would be limited to about 6 people.
  • An intermediate level trampers snow crossing of the Cho La (Pass)
