First impressions of Kathmandu
Everyone is here, all our luggage is here and we have a busy schedule ahead. Things are looking good.
Tomorrow's wake up call is 6am and we leave on a tour of Kathmandu at 7am. That's the easy start. On Tuesday we have a 4:30am start. It is the middle of a major festival and we want to be clear of Kathmande\u before the town gets busy. There is also a problem with the road to the start of the trek. A landslide has closed the road and we will have to walk the last 10kms to Dumche, where we start via an alternative route.
Kathmandu is choked with traffic and expanding out of control. But it is still the vibrant, fascinating place it was on previous visits.
